Heads of Planning Scotland Conference 2023

This year’s Heads of Planning Annual Conference will focus on three themes: Coast; Climate and Community Wealthbuilding.
Following the adoption of NPF4 there will be plenty of new challenges and opportunities for the planning sector in 2023 and beyond. The new national planning framework places a welcome emphasis on tackling the climate crisis through the planning system, and this will be explored in more depth with speakers from local authorities, Scottish Government and academia.
The location of this year’s conference in North Ayrshire also presents an opportunity to explore the themes of coast and community wealth building, and there will be a range of speakers sharing their learning from projects across the area.
